Kim Boyd’s successful Real Estate career began in 1997 when Don Galloway Homes asked her to obtain her license and join its sales team. During her time with Don Galloway Homes, Kim learned all the basics of real estate including working with first time home buyers, all aspects of building a home, the best ways to market a home in both a good economy and a bad economy in order to maximize its sale potential, and perhaps most importantly, listening to and understanding her clients needs.

In 2001, seeking new challenges and opportunities, Kim joined The Beach Company which enabled her to expand her career by learning about the Development and General Brokerage side of the Real Estate business. Over the past 8 years, Kim has become extremely adept in assisting buyers looking for a second home, facilitating investors purchasing rental property, handling 1031 exchanges and listing re-sale homes while helping the seller purchase a new residence.

Kim’s passion for her career is what has led her to excel in Real Estate. As someone who loves living in Charleston, she enjoys sharing the many Real Estate opportunities the city has to offer with her clients. She feels it is imperative to her success to maintain her Real Estate education in order to stay current with ever-changing trends and to best serve her clients’ needs. Every client has a different situation and Kim truly enjoys learning about her clients and helping them achieve their goals. She finds nothing more rewarding and complimentary than when her clients are satisfied and refer her to their friends and families.

Personal

In large part, Kim attributes to her professional success to being raised in an incredibly supportive family. She grew up in several Midwest states including Kansas, Ohio and Arizona, but made Charleston home in 1993, shortly after graduating from Kansas State University (Go Wildcats!). Since moving to Charleston, Kim has built several of her own homes locally and partnered with her parents in owning and selling rental properties. In her personal time, she focuses on keeping in touch with her family and loves spending time with her four nephews, her niece and Lucy and Buster Brown, her two much-loved dogs. Kim also enjoys playing softball as a part of The Beach Company co-ed team and competes in tennis, feeling she truly benefits from the camaraderie being a part of both activities brings.
